NAGE, SEIU Locals Call for Increased Mileage Reimbursement Rate

NAGE and SEIU Locals 888 and 509 have jointly written a letter to Administration and Finance Secretary Leslie Kirwan asking for an immediate increase in the mileage reimbursement rate. They call for Secretary Kirwan to authorize the increase to the IRS-approved rate of 50.5 per mile.
"It's unfair to continue to have state employees use their personal vehicles for state business and to significantly under-reimburse them for mileage," said National President David J. Holway. "The price of gasoline has skyrocketed and the state just expects employees to pick up the extra tab; it's a true financial loss to these employees."
