John Mann has been employed as a Claims Adjudicator with The Commonwealth of Mass since 1985. He has been married to his wife Danielle for 23 years and has three children. His oldest Nicholas is currently a junior at The Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Jack is a sophomore at Bridgewater State College, and Rose is attending Duxbury High School.
Mann has been a NAGE member for over 30 years. He has been a NAGE representative since 2002 primarily assisting the Unit One presidents. He then ran for and was elected as Executive Vice President in 2005 and then became President of Unit One shortly after. Mann was appointed to the NAGE National Executive Board in 2009 and has served as National Vice President of NAGE since 2010.
You will sometimes hear NAGE referred to as SEIU Local 5000. NAGE affiliated with SEIU in 1982 to become part of the largest and fastest-growing union in North America, with more than 2 million members.
