Leo Munroe is president of NAGE’s Unit 3, which represents skilled tradespeople who work for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. They include people who take care of state facilities and highways.

Leo got involved as a steward and worked his way up to a local president and national vice president. He also sits on the Health & Welfare Trust Fund, which manages additional health benefits for state workers.

“In the 14 years since I became president, we’ve seen a lot of good changes happen,” said Leo. “We’ve negotiated several contract with stronger language and benefits, and we’ve really gone the extra mile providing service for members, locally and across the country.”

Leo and his wife have three daughters, one son, and two dogs. They enjoy hunting for antiques, attending flea markets and county fairs, and relaxing at the beach.
