One of the hallmarks of NAGE, and an operating principle that sets us apart from so many other national unions, is our belief that locals best know how to meet the needs of their membership. We believe that locals should be given as much autonomy as they desire, while still receiving expert support at the national level whenever needed.

To help locals reach the highest level of autonomy, we will continually add documents, tip sheets, and useful information to this Resource Center so that stewards, presidents, and other local leaders have quick and easy access to answers to common questions and concerns.

The Resource Center will also provide forms that members and local leaders can download to change their mailing address, update their officer information, and change their per capita information.

We can either have democracy in this country or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few; but we can't have both. - Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis
