Local 207 President Theresa McGoldrick Re-Elected to State Retirement Board

Unit 6, Local 207 President Theresa McGoldrick has been re-elected to a three-year term on the State Retirement Board. McGoldrick, who is also a NAGE National Executive Vice President, will be serving her fourth term on the board.

"Theresa does an outstanding job of representing employees' and retirees' interests on the board," said National President David J. Holway. "She has a long history of dedication to public service, and we could not ask for a smarter, more trustworthy, more dedicated advocate for our members and for all state employees."

Fellow retirement board member Ralph White said, “We (Board) make major decisions every month that impact the lives of employees, retirees and survivors. When Angelo Amato (longtime Board member) left and Theresa was elected, the voters couldn’t have made a better choice. Theresa is everything and more than a dedicated Board member should be. She also serves on the Commonwealth’s $50 billion Pension Reserves Investment Management Board."

McGoldrick said that she looks forward to continuing uninterrupted service to the state employees and retirees she will represent on the board.

"I feel privileged to have the opportunity to continue serving workers and retirees across the state," she said. "I'm ready to continue fighting to protect our pensions and to constantly strive for ways to improve them. Workers who have dedicated their careers to public service deserve to retire with peace of mind about their financial security, and I will do everything I can to make sure that they do."

The State Retirement Board makes all major administrative and disability benefit decisions for the 140,000 state employees (including NAGE members) in the state retirement system. The PRIM Board makes all major investment decisions for the retirement savings of state and municipal employees in SRB.
