April 29, 2008

The NAGE Training and Career Ladders Committee is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Human Resources Division Training and Learning Development Group (TLD) to deliver FREE professional development opportunities statewide to its non-Health and Human Services members.

A sampling of courses includes, but is not limited to: Securing Your Parachute: Resume & Interviewing Skills, Conversational Spanish, Basic Supervision Skills: Moving from Employee to Supervisor, Time Management, Desktop PC Skills (Access, Excel, MS-Project, Outlook) and many more.

Courses will be offered in Boston, Springfield and Worcester. You can download a reference list of the course offerings, dates, times and locations.

The Training & Career Ladder Program is a negotiated benefit offered through the NAGE Collective Bargaining Agreement. With supervisor approval and consideration for operational needs, paid release time will be given to attend these courses. No employee will be restricted from eligibility due to length of service, seniority, or applicability to job or level of job performance.
