President Holway Urges GIC to Reject Increases to Co-Pays, Deductibles

National President David Holway has submitted a letter to the Group Insurance Commission urging its members to reject any proposals to increase state employees' co-pays and deductibles. The Commission votes today on the matter.
"Many hardworking state employees and their families are struggling today to make ends meet," said Holway. "Over the years, they've borne higher percentage increases than the state for premiums, co-pays and deductibles. Now they have the governor trying to increase their premium share and the GIC proposing to raise co-pays and deductibles. These familes simply cannot keep absorbing these financial blows."
