LOCAL R4-78 NOMINATION/ELECTION NOTICE
NOMINATIONS
Nominations for officers of Local R4-78 will be accepted from the floor at the October 5, 2017 Membership Meeting. Any member who cannot attend the meeting may download Nomination Forms at www.nagefederal.org/veterans-affairs/army-navy-air-force or by contacting Election Officer Lois Washington at (304) 820-2416. All Nomination Forms must be returned to the Election Officer on or before 12:30 p.m. October 5, 2017. The nomination period will conclude at the close of the October 5, 2017, meeting. Nominations received after the conclusion of the meeting will not be valid.

PLACE: Building 500, GB 121
The Local Executive Board will consist of ten (10) board officers: President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chief Steward, and four (4) Board of Directors. All candidates for office must be members in good standing for one (1) year as of October 5, 2017. All nominations must be seconded. A person nominated for more than one position must select the office of his or her choice; no person may run for more than one office. Self-nominations will be accepted, but also must be seconded by a Local R4-78 member in good standing. The term of office is three years.
It is the responsibility of the member making any nomination to ensure that his nominee receives and returns a Nomination Acceptance Form as well as a Nomination Form completed by another member in good standing that seconds the nomination of his/her candidate before the close of the October 5, 2017, meeting.
ELECTION
The election of NAGE Local R4-78 officers will be conducted at the date, time, and place indicated below:
DATE: Monday, November 2, 2017
TIME: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
PLACE: Building 500, 3A-140
Any person who is a member in good standing as of October 5, 2017, is eligible to vote. Positive picture I.D. will be required to vote, either a current driver’s license, passport, or VA-issued identification. Ballots will be tallied immediately following the close of the polls. Ballots will be mailed to CBOC members ONLY on or about October 12, 2017, and must be returned in the envelopes provided via U.S. Mail by 5 p.m. on November 2, 2017. Absentee ballots will not be allowed and write-in votes will not be accepted. If you know of any member who did not receive this Notice, please have them contact Election Officer Lois Washington at (304) 820-2416.
