Luis Cardoso has been an associate court officer in Springfield, Massachusetts, for over a decade. He ran for a spot on the executive board for his union local and was elected its treasurer.

“Getting involved gave me a better understanding of the purpose of the union,” said Luis. “Now I’m involved in communicating important information to the members. Sharing what I learned is very gratifying.”

Luis also runs a remodeling business in western Massachusetts. He and his wife have a daughter and two sons, who enjoy fishing, boating, and camping together.
