Harry McCurdy has worked at the Atlanta Airport’s parking operation for over 20 years. When his coworkers talked to him about the importance of unions, he joined the local at his workplace and became a member of his bargaining team. Harry eventually ran for higher office and became the local’s president.
 
“My union involvement helped me understand the connection between workers’ rights and social and political issues, and how they affect us as citizens and human beings,” Harry said of his union experience. “We can use our union experience to make sure our voices are heard.”
 
The father and grandfather enjoys reading and watching professional football and boxing.
