Incorporated in the terms of our 2014 – 2017 contract is an agreement between the parties to develop a drug testing program for COs and ACCOs. Section 17.10 of our contract states, “The parties agree to develop a drug testing program modeled after programs in other public safety organizations in the State (e.g. Norfolk County Sheriff)”. Over the last several months the Union has met with the Trial Court developed a policy that is fair and transparent for all COs and ACCOs.

Please note the implementation date of February 1, 2016. Beginning February 1, 2016, any officer with a birthday that falls in the month of February, and continuing forward (March, April, etc.) will be eligible to be tested per the conditions set forth in the enclosed Memorandum.
