House of Representatives Passes OSHA Legislation

The Massachusetts House of Representatives has voted to pass legislation that will expand OSHA protection to the entire public sector in Massachusetts.  As you may recall, the Senate approved passage of a similar bill earlier in the month.  The House and Senate are now working to reconcile the differences in the legislation prior to a final enactment vote. National President David J. Holway expressed NAGE's gratitude for this stride forward, "The House and Senate have taken a critical step in ensuring the safety of all workers across the public sector, and we are grateful for their actions.  We urge the legislature to complete work on this important initiative and move it to Governor Baker for his signature so that we will finally level the safety playing field for all workers.”
The NAGE Legislative team has been working toward the passage of this legislation for years, and their hard work has begun to pay off.  Thank you to the Legislative team for their tireless efforts at the State House, encouraging the Commonwealth to understand the necessity of adopting OSHA standards.
