NAGE Scholarship Drawing Results

June 22, 2012

A record number of 1,435 applications were submitted this year for the 9th annual NAGE Scholarships program.

Fifty names were drawn at the National Executive Board meeting on June 20 in Quincy, Mass. The winners represent members from across the country and include daughters, sons, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, parent, and members themselves.

"We were very pleased by the record number of members who submitted applications this year, with the significant majority of them being submitted online," said Scholarships Administrator Kevin Doyle. "We are really happy to be able to help—in even a small way—our members and their families as they pursue their college dreams and goals."

The NAGE Scholarships Program
Each year, fifty scholarships in the amount of $500 each are awarded in a lottery.

Applicants for the lottery drawing scholarships must be planning to attend or already be attending a two- or four-year college, trade or technical school to be eligible.

Scholarships are available to members of NAGE, IBPO, IBCO, and IAEP, and the member's spouse, child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or significant other.

Scholarships are awarded without regard to the sex, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, or disability of any applicant.
