Central Georgia Public Workers Form Union in Bibb County
In order to have a stronger voice with larger numbers, a new combined local in the Macon/Bibb area has been created. The new local has members who work for the City of Macon, Bibb County Board of Education, Bibb County and the State of Georgia (living in Bibb or surrounding counties).
The new local is called Central Georgia Public Workers Union/SEIU NAGE.
Election of officers was held April 27, 2010 and the following leaders were elected:
President: Melba Sparks
Vice President: Patrick Dean
Secretary/ Treasurer: Brenda Simmons

City Representative: Capus Wyche
County Representative: Jim Curry
State Employees Jeanette Lawrence
