The Members Photo Gallery allows locals across the country to show other members what they've been up to lately—whether it's an informational picket, a training session, a meeting with a high-ranking official, or a local-sponsored community picnic.

Member Appreciation Picnic and Halloween Member Sign-Up
Local R3-35 held a picnic on a beautiful day in late August to thank members for their dedication and commitment to the union. On Halloween, President Moore got in the spirit of the holiday and donned a costume to for a trick-or-treat member recruiting day.

NAGE VA local leaders, including Claudia Moore; Frances Lopez, president of Local R5-66 (Memphis VA); Susan Anderson, president of Local R4-78 (Martinsburg, West VA., VA); Joe Morana, president of Local R1-25/R1-86; Janice Blackwell, president of Local R4-17 (Hampton VA); and Evelyn Cipriaso, president of Local R3-19 (Baltimore VA) had a busy summer anf all. They met with the senior aide to Senator Daniel Akaka (D-HI) to discuss VA issues such as Saturday premium pay, 24-hour staffing, and mold issues at VA centers. Senator Akaka is the chair of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee. In October, the leaders attended a Labor-Management meeting to discussion generational diversity, the all-employee survey, and Title 38 issues.


National Executive Board December 6-7, 2007
Members of the National Executive Board convened in Quincy, Massachusetts, for the December meeting.

2007 Member Political Action Conference
Members from around the country attended the 2007 Member Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C. Attendees heard from presidential candidates: Senator Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.); Senator Barack Obama (D-Illinois); Governor Bill Richardson; Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY); and Senator John Edwards (D-South Carolina). The following day, they lobbied their congressmen and congresswoman and senators on issues such as health care and labor law reform.
