The winners of the 2007 NAGE Scholarships were chosen in a lottery drawing yesterday during a National Executive Committee meeting. Each of the 50 winners will receive a $500 check to apply toward their educational expenses in the upcoming academic year.
"We are very proud of the scholarship program we instituted to help our members and their families achieve their educational goals. The cost of getting a higher education is out of control, and we know that every dollar counts toward achieving a dream," said David J. Holway, NAGE National President. "On behalf of all members of NAGE, I wish all applicants the best of luck in the fall."
NAGE staff member Kevin Doyle, who manages the scholarship program, reported that a record number of applications were submitted this year.
"The turnout this year was unbelievable," he said. "It continues to grow every year, and I just encourage every member to take advantage of this opportunity, either for themselves, their kids, or any other family member." Review the list of the winners
